Nina DeLudemann was born on the last day of winter, 1993 in São Paulo, where she was raised for the first 10 years of her life. Her childhood dream, was to become a construction worker. As her interest shifted towards archeology, she then decided to excavate in the sediments of theater.
Nina DeLudemann, a photographer and textile artist with roots in Brazil, the United States, Germany, and Vietnam, weaves her diverse background into visual and performative works. She transforms photographic images through drawing, stitching, and collage, using process-based techniques to create multilayered, unique pieces imbued with traces of their making. Her art powerfully conveys sensations of memory, displacement, and interconnectedness, inviting viewers to reflect on presence, care, and the rich complexities of identity.
